Baltimore Harbor
Students will examine the geography of Baltimore’s harbor and learn how these characteristics influenced the rise of Baltimore’s historic shipping industry. Using the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company (CMRDDC) as a reference point and the Chart of Baltimore, students will construct a 1800s model of the Northwest Branch of the Harbor.
